Some West Koots staffers just got back from a trip to the East and it was a delight to meet with our Kootenay brethren and share their stories. While we were there we popped into Invermere and you can’t pass through town without stopping at one of the best coffee houses in the Kootenays. Kicking Horse Coffee sells premium 100% organic, fair trade coffee. And it’s really, really, really good!
In addition to their ethical business practices, their outstanding 
employment record and policies, Kicking Horse has a kick ass coffee house at HQ. We think it’s one of the coolest coffee shops on the Koots. The decor is modern, sleek and minimal much like the brand, and in addition to a great cup of coffee, patrons can stock up on KHC swag at the gift store. Available in major grocery stores across Canada and now available in select stores in New York, Kicking Horse is continually growing and improving, consequently helping to bring global recognition to the Kootenays.

It is! Totally rad, beautifully laid out and they serve a mean cup of joe to boot! AND there’s a mannequin in the gift shop!

I wish I could recall their mannequin’s name. Apparently shes been known for showing up at staff functions and makes surprise office visits around company HQ.
