Ullr has been kind. The Norse snow god smiled favourably upon the Kootenay region this year and Ski Whitewater was among many of the happy recipients of his good nature. To celebrate his greatness and to close out the winter season with a bang, Whitewater will be hosting it’s annual Beach Party on April 3.

Bring your bikini or board shorts and celebrate spring in the Annual Big Splash Slush Cup starting at 1pm. Prior to the Slush Cup, Whitewater is inviting the whole family to the Doggy Parade at 11pm in front of the lodge. Prizes for best costume and for the fastest dog through the obstacle course.

And don’t miss the Dummy Downhill Race at 4:30pm where dummies on skis (be as creative as you like!) ski a run on the Summit side. Check out the Whitewater website for rules and regulations.

Nelson’s local Samba band that will be playing traditional Brazilian rhythms around the resort, helping us shake our way into summer. And the Association de Francophone de Kootenays Ouest (AFKO) will be on site with their delicious all you can eat maple syrup ‘tire’.
